The Milwaukee Bucks take down the Boston Celtics, 103-101, in a thriller in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Milwaukee leads the best-of-seven series 2-1.
Jayson Tatum choosing to flop instead of defend a guy seven inches shorter than him cost Boston that game.
How long are people going to keep denying Giannis Antetokounmpo is the best player in the world? Giannis had 42/12/8 against that defensive team and if that doesn’t convince you, nothing will. What a gem. Bucks fans need to appreciate his greatness.
These national media members getting on social media denouncing Giannis Antetokounmpo is embarrassing. Best thing in the NBA right now and they want to cry because he’s in Milwaukee.
I will say, my only frustration with Giannis is that he just needs to accept the one three-pointer that he made and not keep shooting 3’s.
The officiating was pretty much one sided and the Bucks still won. Milwaukee held Boston to zero Field Goal’s in the final 4:10 of the game. Boston’s six points in that span came from the free throw line.
Celtics players push off so much and the fact that it’s not called is a fricken joke! Just unreal.
If it wasn’t bad enough that Milwaukee was playing 5-on-8 on the court, Hubie Brown who was announcing the game on ABC was rooting for the Boston Celtics as well. Hubie needs to retire because it’s pathetic that there is bias towards one team on a national broadcast.
Milwaukee does need to clean up their defensive rebounding, however. Boston was able to get 11 offensive rebounds and nearly cost them at the end of the game.
Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer said that they (Bucks) were not trying to foul Marcus Smart and that he thought Smart was trying to do the “Kevin Durant” rip-through move to get three free throws. Budenholzer is thought two free throws were appropriate in that situation.
Regarding that Marcus Smart foul, Smart was kind of shooting and kind of not shooting, although that’s not a normal shooting motion per the points of emphasis for the year 2021.
The weird part is how the Free Throw attempt count in the final 16:40 of the game:
Boston Celtics – 17
Milwaukee Bucks – 0
The team with Giannis Antetokounmpo, who gets hammered on every trip down the floor, had zero. That makes sense.
The Bucks are winning the mental game.
Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka was not happy with some of the calls late and said “I’ll teach my guys to flop a little more.”
I want to swim in Celtics tears.
Game 4 from the Fiserv Forum will be on Monday, May 9th. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 PM (Central Time) and will be nationally televised on TNT.
