The Milwaukee Bucks (48-29) get blown out by the Los Angeles Clippers (38-40), 153-119, inside the Fiserv Forum that was a game that should have been played at the YMCA.
The Bucks were without Giannis Antetokounmpo (right knee soreness), Khris Middleton (left wrist soreness), Jrue Holiday (left ankle sprain), Brook Lopez (return to competition reconditioning), and DeAndre Bembry (right knee surgery).
So the Bucks starting lineup included: Jevon Carter, Pat Connaughton, Jordan Nwora, Bobby Portis and Serge Ibaka.
The Clippers also were without a handful of guys, including Paul George.
So this game basically turned into a game you’d see at the YMCA with a bunch of guys that really have no business getting meaningful minutes, get meaningful minutes.
The Clippers hit 23-of-43 (53.5%) from 3-point range. Robert Covington hit 11 of them and Amir Coffey hit five.
Jordan Nwora led Milwaukee with 28 points, Bobby Portis scored 25 and Jevon Carter scored 18, while Thanasis Antetokounmpo added 12 and Lindell Wigginton contributing 10.
As great as the two wins against the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets were earlier this week, tonight was a total buzz kill for the Bucks.
To me it’s ridiculous that the Bucks treated this game like a Summer League game in Las Vegas in August with so much at stake in terms of seeding. I also think that the NBA needs to get rid of the back-to-backs at this point of the season because it was an absolute joke of a product that was put on the floor at the Fiserv Forum tonight.
People don’t pay money on tickets, parking, etc. to go to games to see this absolute garbage of a product. To the NBA and the Milwaukee Bucks, do better than this!
If this is the kind of crap that is going to happen, maybe it’s best that they shorten the season. This literally was like watching a game at the YMCA with neither team at full strength and playing a bunch of G-Leaguers.
The Milwaukee Bucks will welcome former head coach Jason Kidd and the Dallas Mavericks (48-30) to the Fiserv Forum on Sunday, April 3rd. Tipoff is set for 12:00 PM (Central Time) and will be nationally televised on ABC.
