The 2022 championship game of The Basketball Classic Tournament will take place tonight, Friday April 1st, between the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (19-13) and the Fresno State Bulldogs (22-13). No this is not an April Fools joke.
Tipoff is set for 5:00 PM (Central Time) from the HTC Center in Conway, South Carolina and will be televised on ESPN+.
Here’s a look at the odds for the championship game. Odds come courtesy of Bovada:
Point Spread: Fresno State -3.5
Point Total (O/U): 126.5
Moneyline: Fresno State -165, Coastal Carolina +140
Fresno State’s defense is the biggest strength in this matchup as they rank No. 32 in KenPom’s adjusted efficiency and when you combine that with how slow they play, the under may not be the worst bet. The Bulldogs rank No. 355 out of 358 division 1 college basketball teams in adjusted tempo, and Coastal Carolina does not like to speed things up either.
My Prediction:
Fresno State 65, Coastal Carolina 62.
Comment with your predictions and let’s get ready to crown another National Champion tonight!
That is the tourney Wisco belonged in!!!
