After a disappointing 5-25 season that saw the Spartans also finish with a 2-16 Mountain West record, San José State Director of Athletics Jeff Konya decided to not retain Jamie Craighead as the SJSU women’s basketball head coach.
Craighead leaves SJSU after nine seasons at the helm with a record of 89-160 (.357) and a conference record of 54-93 (.367). Craighead did lead the Spartans to the semifinals of the MWC Tournament in 2015 and 2020, but, unfortunately, couldn’t build off the success of those seasons.
