The Wisconsin Badgers (5-3) take down the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (5-2) in a wild finish, 2-1, to conclude the first day of the St. Pete Clearwater Elite Invitational tournament.

Wisconsin was in complete control of this game until the Bottom of the Seventh inning. The first two batters were retired, and then the Irish got an infield single and then a single down the third base line to put runners on first and second with two outs.
There was then a bloop single to center field to score one run and Notre Dame decided to send the runner home from first base and the Badgers ended the game with your classic 6-4-2 putout to win the ballgame.
Senior Maddie Schwartz (3-0) pitched a heck of a game, going all seven innings striking out six batters, allowing four hits and the one run.
Sophomore Skylar Sirdashney went 3-for-3 with two RBI and a home run.
Senior Jolie Fish and senior Kayla Konwent each recorded one hit respectively.
Up Next:
The Badgers will take on the No. 25 Auburn Tigers (6-0) tomorrow (Friday), February 18th in Clearwater, Florida. First pitch is set for 10:30 AM (Central Time) and will be televised on ESPN+.
