The Wisconsin Badgers (0-1) softball team falls to the No. 19 Kentucky Wildcats (1-0), 5-2, in the season opener in Leesburg, Florida.
Sophomore Ava Justman (0-1) went 3 1/3 innings pitched, allowing four hits, three runs (two earned) and struck out six batters.
Senior Maddie Schwartz pitched the final 2 2/3 innings, allowing two earned runs on four hits, while striking out two batters.
Senior Ally Miklesh and freshman Ellie Hubbard each collected an RBI today driving in UW’s two runs.
