The San Jose State Spartans (4-4) fall on the road to the Pepperdine Waves (3-8), 82-69, inside Firestone Fieldhouse in Malibu, California.

Defensively the Spartans dug themselves too big of a hole in the first half and gave up too many offensive rebounds and second chance points.
Senior Trey Smith and freshman Alvaro Cardenas Torre led SJSU with 14 points each, respectively. Junior Omari Moore scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
SJSU shot 26-of-68 (38.2%) from the field, 7-of-26 (26.9%) from 3-point range and 10-of-11 (90.9%) at the foul line, while committing 11 turnovers. The problem was the ball movement, or lack thereof, and only having 12 assists.
