Tough one today for Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv (7-6) as they lose in heartbreaking fashion to Real Madrid (11-2), 72-70, inside the WiZink Center in Madrid, Spain.

Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv has now lost three consecutive EuroLeague games.
There were a couple of real questionable calls that went against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv. One was a key travel called on Scottie Wilbekin late in the game when he split Real Madrid defenders….he didn’t actually travel, yet it was called.
Another mind boggling no-call was when Wilbekin got hammered on a 3-point attempt with no whistle.
After a shaky start to the game, Tel Aviv settled in and played a really good ball game and led for a majority of the second half, but a Real Madrid layup with 3.7 seconds left proved to be the game winner.
Angelo Caloiaro scored 2 points on a perfect 1-for-1 from the field and grabbed four rebounds and dished out two assists in 18 minutes.

There’s going to need to be a lot of soul searching for Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv.
