Tonight very well may have been the Rasul Douglas revenge game.
The undermanned Green Bay Packers (7-1) took down the Arizona Cardinals (7-1) inside State Farm Stadium, 24-21.
I’m actually speechless after that Rasul Douglas dagger interception to win the game. Green Bay went from an all-time win, to an all-time loss, to an all-time win. Going from possible loss and certain overtime (at best), to victory formation.
I will say this: I was extremely frustrated that Matt LaFluer refused to have AJ Dillion in the game when Green Bay had the ball inside the 1-yard line, leading 24-21 in the final minutes of the game. The fact that Dillion was on the sideline that entire series was an absolute joke!
I’ve seen some bad offense inside the 10-yard line before, but that was as bad as it gets.
Good thing Douglas bailed out LaFluer. And with that interception, Brian Gutekunst should be back in the lead for executive of the year.
The only time I watch SportsCenter is when I know good things will be said about a team I’m emotionally invested in. I’ll be watching SportsCenter tonight, tell me how awesome the Packers are, Scott Van Pelt!
This was one of the most impressive Packers wins I’ve seen in a long time.
The Packers will get a mini-Bye the rest of this week and then will play the Kansas City Chiefs (3-4) at Arrowhead Stadium on November 7th. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:25 PM (Central Time).
