Wisconsin Badgers Get Win Over Illinois Fighting Illini

The Wisconsin Badgers (2-3, 1-2) took down the Illinois Fighting Illini (2-5, 1-3) at Memorial Stadium, 24-0, and Bret Bielema is now focused on the post-game buffet.

The Badgers were amazing with the rushing attack today, as they ran for 391 yards. Chez Mellusi rushed for 145 yards on 21 attempts with a touchdown and true freshman Braelon Allen ran for 131 yards on 18 attempts with a touchdown.

Then there was the suffocating defense that held Illinois to a total of 93 yards! NINETY-THREE!

Graham Mertz completed 10-of-19 passes for 100 yards, but did throw an interception.

Bret Bielema bailed on Wisconsin after posting a 68-24 record with a program. He bailed for Arkansas in 2012, and the best thing he did for UW was take Chris Ash with him.

Bielema has posted a 31-39 record as a head coach since leaving Wisconsin.

Karma! Milk was a bad choice!

Up Next:

Wisconsin will host the Army Black Knights (4-1) next Saturday, October 16th at Camp Randall Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM (Central Time) and will be televised on Big Ten Network (BTN).

It will probably be a stellar rushing game.
