The Milwaukee Brewers fall to the Atlanta Braves, 3-0, in Game 2 of the NLDS at American Family Field tonight.
Milwaukee had plenty of chances late to get back in the game and make a run at it.
The lack of clutch hitting has failed the Brewers all season long, and tonight Milwaukee was 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position.
Brandon Woodruff’s 2.86 runs of support per nine innings were the lowest of any of MLB’s qualifying pitchers during the regular season.
Today against Atlanta’s Max Fried: Zero runs.
Woodruff went six innings, allowing five hits, one walk and three earned runs with seven strikeouts on 91 pitches.
I actually thought Woody pitched well. There’s not much more that he could of done when you don’t get any support on offense.
Just a frustrating and disappointing game.
The Brewers and Braves will play Game 3 at Truist Park on Monday, October 11th. We know that the game will be televised on TBS.
Game time will be at either 12:07 PM (Central Time) OR at 3:07 PM (Central Time).
