The Milwaukee Brewers (91-61) offense was lifeless in a 10-2 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals (82-69) tonight at American Family Field.

Nothing says “blowout loss” like seeing Daniel Norris on to pitch 2 2/3 innings for the Brewers.
It was a brutal loss for the Brewers. The Cardinals have now won 11 in a row, while the Brewers have lost four in a row for the first time since the middle of June.
But hey, after that they won 13 of 14.
Brett Anderson in his return from the IL: 1 2/3 innings, six hits, six runs (two earned), one walk and no strikeouts.
Manager Craig Counsell postgame said: “We’re still sitting in a really nice spot. That has not changed.”
Leaving the ballpark from work tonight, there was a “must win” type of vibe for tomorrow’s game.
Up Next:
The Brewers and Cardinals will conclude the four-game series at American Family Field tomorrow. First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 PM (Central Time) and will be nationally televised on YouTube TV.
Adrian Houser (9-6, 3.43 ERA) will start for Milwaukee.
Adam Wainwright (16-7, 2.89 ERA) will start for St. Louis.
Shocker!
