Tampa Bay Lightning Win The Stanley Cup!!!

The Tampa Bay Lightning are back-to-back Stanley Cup Champions!!!!

Andrei Vasilevskiy with a fifth consecutive shutout in series clinching games and a Ross Colton second period goal give the Bolts a 1-0 win in Game 5 to win the series 4-1 over the Montreal Canadiens and win the 2021 Stanley Cup!

Andrei Vasilevskiy is the 2021 Conn Smythe Award trophy winner. He is the best goalie in hockey right now.

Alex Killorn, who didn’t play in the final four games, but his block shot on Jeff Petry will be all over highlight reels of this Cup run.

Killorn broke his fibula and had surgery last week to put in a rod and hoped to play.

It’s the third Stanley Cup in Bolts franchise history. They won in 2004, last year in the bubble (2020) and then this year (2021). It takes a total team effort to win this trophy.

I couldn’t be happier that Tampa Bay won it again this year so people can’t use the “bubble” excuse as to why the Bolts won it in 2020.

I’m also happy for head coach Jon Cooper after losing his mother shortly after the Bolts won the Cup last year. The guy can flat out coach.

As Jon Cooper held up the Stanley Cup for the crowd, he mouthed “I love you.”
