Milwaukee Brewers Take Down The Chicago Cubs

The Milwaukee Brewers (47-33) took down the Chicago Cubs (42-38) again tonight, 2-1, inside American Family Field.

The Brewers now have a 5-game lead in the NL Central over the second place Cubs.

Brandon Woodruff (7-3) went 6 great innings. Woody allowed one run on four hits and three walks while striking out eight.

Josh Hader picked you the save. Hader is now 20-for-20 in save opportunities this season.

The Brewers only collected two hits today.

Christian Yelich hit an RBI double in the first inning. Yelich now has 23 RBI on the season.

Jace Peterson had an RBI single in the fourth inning. Peterson now has 10 RBI on the season.

The Brewers and Cubs will play the series finale from American Family Field tomorrow. First pitch is set for 1:10 PM (Central Time).

Brent Suter (8-3, 3.52 ERA) will get the start for Milwaukee.

Jake Arrieta (5-8, 5.32 ERA) will get the start for Chicago.
