The Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks square off in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals tomorrow night from inside the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. Tipoff is set for 7:30 PM (Central Time) and will be nationally televised on TNT.
By the way, I’m positive that Giannis Antetokounmpo had the most underrated Game 7 performance in NBA history on Saturday night, because I haven’t seen any media talk about it.
I don’t know if any of you were watching First Take on ESPN today with Max Kellerman, Molly Qerim and Stephen A. Smith. They were an utter embarrassment for the NBA in my opinion.
All of them legit called Milwaukee and Phoenix terrible cities. On National TV. And people question if ESPN has agendas to push….
Stephen A. Smith admitted that he’s rooting for the Atlanta Hawks and LA Clippers because he doesn’t want to go to Milwaukee or Phoenix to cover the Finals.
I’m with Doug Russell on this:
It’s completely ignorant of them to say that, because Milwaukee and Phoenix are beautiful and awesome cities.
Pat McAfee chimed in….
I love the people that have never stepped foot in the state of Wisconsin drop the “Well, you still have to live in Wisconsin” as some kind of insult, as if they have any idea what it’s actually like to live in Wisconsin. The number of people that hate on this state, having never been here, is appaling. Their loss.
ESPN better set up shop in Los Angeles or Phoenix for the NBA Finals. They better not have the audacity to step foot in this city after what they said about Milwaukee. Better yet, they should stay in Connecticut because I don’t think Phoenix wants their terrible opinions either.
With the NBA ratings in real decline, ESPN shouldn’t be having their people speak poorly about any cities.
Anyways, I’m done with my mini-rant. Back to the Bucks/Hawks series.
The Milwaukee Bucks are looking for their first NBA Championship since 1971 and first Finals appearance since 1974.
The Atlanta Hawks are looking for their first NBA Championship since 1958 when they were the St. Louis Hawks. A little bit of history for those of you that don’t know, the Hawks played in Milwaukee and were the Milwaukee Hawks from 1951 to 1955 before moving to St. Louis prior to the 1955-56 season.
I’m really praying that Mike Budenholzer doesn’t go 10-plus deep tomorrow. He needs to play an 8-man rotation (9 if you want to include Thanasis for a defensive possession at the end of a quarter).
If anyone that’s rich wants to get me courtside seats for the Eastern Conference Finals, my DM’s are open.
My Series Prediction:
Bucks in six.
