The Milwaukee Bucks will play the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Finals.
It’s Mike Budenholzer vs his former team, Bogdan Bogdanovic vs the team he was supposed to play for, Jeff Teague (who I hope doesn’t see the floor) vs his former team, the Milwaukee Bucks with the home court advantage vs the old Milwaukee Hawks (1951-1955), starting Wednesday at the Fiserv Forum.
I can’t wait until the ratings panic becomes a talking point, instead of how healthy these Conference Finals (and soon to be Finals) are for the league.
Here’s the series schedule (all times are Central Time and all games will be televised on TNT):
Game 1: Wednesday, June 23 – 7:30 PM
Game 2: Friday, June 25 – 8:00 PM
Game 3: Sunday, June 27 – 8:00 PM
Game 4: Tuesday, June 29 – 8:00 PM
Game 5: Thursday, July 1 – 8:00 PM (If Necessary)
Game 6: Saturday, July 3 – 8:00 PM (If Necessary)
Game 7: Monday, July 5 – 8:00 PM (If Necessary)
Games 1, 2, 5 and 7 will be in Milwaukee at the Fiserv Forum.
Games 3, 4 and 6 will be in Atlanta at State Farm Arena.
I would love to know the last time two road teams won Game 7 of the Conference Semifinals in the same year, if it has ever happened. Incredible odds against that happening.
To be clear, Mike Budenholzer is still coaching for his job in Milwaukee.
As Giannis Antetokounmpo said postgame last night: “The job is not done. We’re half way through.”
