The Milwaukee Brewers (31-26) scored four runs in the first three innings which proved to be plenty of runs in a 5-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks (20-39).
Pitching on his birthday, Freddy Peralta took a no-hitter into the eighth inning before Nick Ahmed managed to poke a single through the infield on a pitch out of the zone.
Peralta was pulled after that hit and got a standing ovation from the home crowd on his way to the dugout. Peralta finished the night with nine strikeouts, while improving his record to 6-1 on the season and dropped his ERA to 2.25.
Daniel Vogelbach hit his fourth home run of the season in the first inning. It would be huge if he can get going consistently at the plate.
Milwaukee has now won 10 of their last 13 games.
