Game 3 of the Eastern Conference First Round series between the Milwaukee Bucks and Miami Heat is tonight from AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami. Tipoff is set for 6:30 PM (Central Time) and televised on TNT.
After the Heat started to get a little chippy in the fourth quarter on Monday night, I’m extremely interested to see how the Bucks will respond tonight.
The Heat have plenty of shooters in Duncan Robinson, Goran Dragic and Tyler Herro who can get hot in a hurry to help Miami break out of their game 2 offensive slump. Plus, they have Bam Adebayo who’s a stud big man that’s had some trouble with Brook Lopez’s length.
Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra is one of the top coaches in the NBA and he’ll certainly make adjustments, especially with an extra day off between games, after the first two games in Milwaukee. The big question (and worrisome part) is this: will Mike Budenholzer counter with adjustments to Miami’s adjustments? I’m personally not confident in that part, but hopefully he does!
Miami will also be energized from the nearly 17,000 fans that will be in the stadium. The Bucks will need to weather the early storm.
A 2-0 lead is a good start, but’s it’s just that, a start. The last time the Bucks had a 2-0 series lead in the Budenholzer era, they lost the next four games.
Will the Bucks put a stranglehold on the series tonight? Or will they let an opportunity to bury the Heat slip away?
Milwaukee 116, Miami 111.
