The Milwaukee Brewers (21-20) had the definition of an “ugly win” this afternoon against the Atlanta Braves (19-21).
The Brewers were able to sneak away with a 10-9 win over the Braves to avoid getting swept at American Family Field. The Brewers had an 8-0 lead in the seventh inning.
Luis Urias had a tough day defensively, committing two errors in the game.
The Brewers pitching staff surrendered a grand slam to Freddie Freeman in the seventh inning, after two errors.
The Brewers pitching staff has given up five grand slams this month, they have never done that in any month in franchise history. It’s May 16.
The bright side: Milwaukee had 12 hits and 10 runs today. Kolten Wong, Lorenzo Cain and Omar Narvaez each had three hits apiece. Travis Shaw, Avisail Garcia and Daniel Vogelbach each had one hit apiece.
