The Milwaukee Bucks (38-24) fall to the worst team in the NBA in the Houston Rockets (16-47) tonight by a final of 143-136.
Giannis Antetokounmpo sprained his ankle 32 seconds into the game and didn’t play the rest of the game.
Even without Antetokounmpo, this is an inexcusable loss by the Bucks.
The Bucks got eliminated in five games in the second round of the playoffs last year in the bubble because they couldn’t execute. Now we’ve watched this team not be able to execute for a significant stretch this year, but yeah guys, “regular season means nothing.” (insert eye roll).
The Rockets not only have the worst record, but statistically they’re the worst, or near the bottom, in just about every category. But that didn’t matter tonight. Houston hit 25 three-pointers and out-rebounded the Bucks by 14 (57-43)!
If Budenholzer still wants to be employed, he should change his philosophical approach on the defensive end and defend the three-point line. Just an idea.
Houston was down I believe seven players tonight and still scored 143 points. Pathetic effort by the Bucks against a terrible team.
The Bucks will play on the road tomorrow night against rival Chicago Bulls (26-36). Tipoff from Chicago will be at 8:00 PM (Central Time).
