The first place Milwaukee Brewers, who began tonight’s game with 14 players on various injured lists and made six player moves today, improve their record to 15-10 on the season after taking down the LA Dodgers tonight, 2-1, inside American Family Field.
Crazy stuff.
Eric Lauer, a Dodger killer in his career, pitched a great game. Lauer went five shutout innings, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out three.
The Dodgers out-hit the Brewers, 9-4, but a Travis Shaw two-run dinger in the fourth inning was all the offense Milwaukee needed tonight.
Travis Shaw is making David Stearns look like a genius for picking him up this offseason, on a minor league contract to boot.
