Taj Mustapha, the junior wide receiver who was not on Wisconsin’s 2021 Spring roster, has entered the transfer portal.
Mustapha played in just three of UW’s seven games in 2020, failing to record a reception. He played in four games as a true freshman in 2018, catching a touchdown against New Mexico, but was unable to build on the 2018 season as he played in just one game in 2019 and didn’t record a reception.
A former three-star recruit in the 2018 class chose UW over Michigan State, Iowa, Minnesota, Indiana, Purdue, Kentucky, Syracuse, among others.
The good news is that the wide receivers have been playing really well so far in spring ball for UW.
The NCAA introduced the transfer portal on October 15, 2018, providing athletes to explore other options. Players do not need to get permission from the coaching staff in order to transfer.
