Milwaukee Brewers Lose Series Opener to Pittsburgh Pirates

The Milwaukee Brewers (7-6) have no answers on offense in a 6-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates (6-8).

Adrian Houser had a rough outing, only last 4 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk.

Brent Suter replaced Houser and went 1 2/3 innings, allowing one run on two hits and a walk.

After a sensational rookie season in 2020, Devin Williams has struggled mightily so far in 2021. Tonight he went one inning and allowed two runs.

Milwaukee’s offense wasn’t any better. They left nine runners on base tonight and only had five hits.

If there is a silver lining….at least Jace Peterson got on the board with his first hit of the season. Hopefully that’ll get him going a little bit.
