Wisconsin Badgers Women’s Soccer Heading To B1G Tourney Championship

The Wisconsin Badgers women’s soccer team (7-3-3) came from behind to defeat the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, 2-1, in the Big Ten Tournament Semifinals tonight!

Rutgers got on the board first in the 24th minute of the game.

Lauren Rice came up big and tied the game in the 65th minute with an open goal score.

As both teams were going back and forth, it appeared we were headed to overtime.

Emma Jaskaniec had other plans, as she scored an unbelievable goal with 4:30 left in the game.

Defense finished the job for UW.

The Badgers will play the Iowa Hawkeyes (5-8-1) on Sunday, April 18, for the Big Ten Tournament Championship. Kickoff is at 11:00 AM (Central Time) and will be televised on Big Ten Network (BTN).

UW defeated Iowa 1-0 in the season opener back in February, but that was when the Hawkeyes were having trouble scoring.
