Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv (10-15) lost yet another close game, this time to CSKA Moscow (18-8) by a final of 84-80.
After a dead locked first quarter where it was 25-25 heading into the second quarter. Moscow used a 20-3 run to take a 17-point lead and took a 51-33 lead into intermission.
Maccabi Tel Aviv kept grinding away, but trailed by 16 entering the fourth quarter.
Maccabi Tel Aviv got it as close to 78-75 with 3 minutes to play and 82-80 in the final minute, but couldn’t get over the hump.
Angelo Caloiaro was in foul trouble in the first half and played 26 minutes on the day, finishing with 9 points on 3-of-8 from the field and 2-of-2 at the free throw line with 2 rebounds and 2 assists.
