Crushing Loss For Maccabi Tel Aviv Against Bayern Munich

Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv lost a heartbreaker to FC Bayern Munich today, 72-70, inside the Audi Dome in Munich, Germany.

Tel Aviv was the better team for a majority of the game. But two Nick Weiler-Babb free throws with 8.7 seconds remaining and a missed Scottie Wilbekin three-pointer at the buzzer put a major blow on Tel Aviv’s EuroLeague playoff hopes.

Today was a game Tel Aviv really needed. Instead, they fall to 10-14 in EuroLeague play.

Angelo Caloiaro scored 2 points on 1-of-4 from the field in 32 minutes. Caloiaro also had 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block.

Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv’s next EuroLeague game will be on Tuesday, March 2 when they host CSKA Moscow (17-8). Tip-off is set for 1:05 PM (Central Time).
