CIT Tournament Canceled For 2021

The Tournament (CIT) has been canceled for 2021.

“Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no Postseason Tournament (CIT) in 2021,” an official statement read.

“The NCAA has gone above and beyond to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants in the 2021 NCAA Tournament and we look forward to ‘taking a pause’ and watching what is the best annual sporting event in the world.”

The CIT is on of four Division 1 postseason tournaments (along with NCAA, NIT and CBI tournaments), that is made up of exclusively mid-major teams.

It was also canceled last season (2020) because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Marshall is still the reigning National (CIT) Champions, which beat UW-Green Bay in 2019.
