The Horizon League men’s basketball tournament begins on Thursday, February 25. The top four seeds get bye’s in the 12-team league.
The first round and quarterfinals are at the campus site of the higher seeds, while the semi-finals and championship game will be held at Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis.
Here’s the bracket:
UW-Milwaukee (8-11, 7-10) will indeed host the first round game and will play host to the IUPUI Jaguars (8-9, 7-9) on Thursday, the 25th. Tip-off will be at 7:00 PM (Central Time) and will be televised on ESPN+.
UWM got off to a 5-2 start in conference play season, but then went 2-8 the rest of the way, a trend that has happened in each of the four seasons under head coach Pat Baldwin.
UWM went 3-1 against IUPUI this season. The Panthers swept the two games inside the Klotsche Center in early January, 94-70 and 71-63. The two teams split the two-game series in Indianapolis in late January, with IUPUI winning 73-68 and the next day UWM winning 83-76.
