EA Sports Bringing Back College Football Video Game!!

EA Sports is bringing back their college football game! This is not a drill! EA Sports is bringing back their college football game!

EA Sports announced it would stop making its college football game in 2013 shortly before the company agreed to pay part of a reported $40 million to former college players to settle a lawsuit filed by former UCLA basketball player Ed O’Bannon. The lawsuit argued that it was illegal for EA Sports to sell a game with characters that looked strikingly similar to real athletes without paying those athletes.

EA Sports hasn’t announced a return/launch date yet, but Vice President and general manager Daryl Holt said it won’t happen this year.

There’s still a lot of things they need to figure out before launching the game.

The game will have a somewhat different name. Before the hiatus, it was called NCAA Football (insert year), now it will be called EA Sports College Football.
