The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers (6-6, 5-5) fell to the IUPUI Jaguars (4-6, 3-6) inside Indiana Farmers Coliseum tonight, 73-68.
Te’Jon Lucas led UWM with 20 points while Amir Allen and DeAndre Gholston each added 10 points respectively.
The Panthers shot 26-for-61 (42.6%) from the field, 8-of-24 (33.3%) from 3-point range and 8-of-9 (88.9%) at the free throw line. UWM only had nine turnovers, but also only had eight assists.
IUPUI didn’t shoot the ball overly great either, only shooting 42.9 percent from the field, the problem was the Panthers couldn’t capitalize on the offensive end after getting a defensive stop.
The two teams will play again tomorrow (Saturday), January 30. Tip-off is set for 2:00 PM (Central Time) and will be televised on ESPN3.
