We had the NFL “Super Wild Card” games this past weekend, and I have to be honest, I liked that there was 3 games each day!
I am disappointed the Tennessee Titans lost yesterday though, but have mixed feelings on the Chicago Bears losing. I really don’t like the Bears one bit so in that sense, I’m very happy they lost, but I do think it would have been a better matchup for my Green Bay Packers to play the Bears rather than the Los Angeles Rams next weekend.
It was great to see the Cleveland Browns dominate the first half and then hang on in the second half to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers. I don’t care too much for the Steelers.
In some coaching news, Doug Pederson was fired by the Philadelphia Eagles today.
In other news, two semi-pro teams, the Alabama Crimson Tide play the Ohio State Buckeyes for the College Football National Championship tonight at 7:00 PM (Central Time). Game is televised on ESPN. As I write him this, Alabama is favored by 8 points and the over/under is 74.5 points, both according to Bovada Sportsbook. As we know, lines can fluctuate between now and kickoff.
Alabama 38, Ohio State 35.
What’s your prediction on tonight’s National Championship game?
