The Green Bay Packers needed a strong fourth quarter to defeat the rival Chicago Bears, 35-16, to clinch the one seed in the NFC and a first round bye.
Devante Adams caught six passes for 46 yards and a touchdown. Adams broke Sterling Sharpe’s team record for most receptions in a season (115) and tied Sharpe’s team record for touchdowns (18). Keep in mind, Devante Adams missed 2 1/2 games this season.
Aaron Rodgers was 19-for-24 throwing the ball for 240 yards and four touchdowns. Despite the good numbers, Rodgers was a little bit off today. He threw behind a couple receivers and very well could of had three interceptions had the Bears taken advantage of the poor throws.
As much as we all complain about the Packers defense, the unit has quietly held opponents to 17.2 points per game over the last five games. If the unit holds the next two opponents anywhere close to that number, there’s a great chance the Green Bay Packers will be Super Bowl bound.
The Packers (13-3) will have to wait and see who they play in the NFC Divisional Round.
