The Wisconsin Badgers (8-2, 2-1) lose to the Maryland Terrapins (6-3, 1-2), 70-64. The 15-game winning streak at the Kohl Center and 10-game Big Ten winning streak dating back to last season is over.
Maryland shot 64 percent from the field in the second half.
A glaring stat for the Badgers was shooting 8-for-15 (53.3%) at the free throw line in the game.
Those two together were the reasons why Wisconsin lost the game.
UW only had six turnovers, shot 24-of-55 (43.6%) from the field and 8-of-21 (38.1%) from 3-point range.
D’Mitrik Trice had a game-high 25 points and Aleem Ford scores 10 points, they were the only two Badgers to score in double-figures.
The Badgers will play the Minnesota Golden Gophers (8-1, 1-1) on Thursday, December 31 at 3:30 PM (CT) inside the Kohl Center and will be televised on Big Ten Network (BTN).
