San Jose State Football Mountain West Conference Champions!

The San Jose State Spartans football program has done it! They are the Mountain West Conference champions!

The Spartans (7-0) defeated the Boise State Broncos (5-2), 34-20, at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The story of the 2020 San Jose State Spartans football team may be the best story in college football!

Tonight was their first ever win over Boise State and was the first conference championship game victory in program history.

What a time to be alive!

Spartans quarterback Nick Starkel set a Mountain West Championship game record for most passing yards in a game with 453 passing yards.

Starkel passed Derrick Carr’s record of 404 passing yards in 2013 for Fresno State in the MWC title game.

Kairee Robinson led SJSU in rushing with 39 yards on 12 attempts.

Tre Walker had 7 receptions for 137 yards and a touchdown. Bailey Gaither had 5 receptions for 98 yards. Tight End Derrick Deese Jr. had 7 receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah Hamilton also had a touchdown on 2 receptions for 42 yards.
