The Wisconsin Badgers close out their non-conference portion of the schedule with a dominating 85-48 win over No. 23 Louisville today. The win puts UW at 6-1 on the season.
The 37-point victory is the largest margin of victory against a ranked team in UW program history.
UW shot 31-57 (54.4%) from the field, 16-for-25 (64.0%) from three-point range, and 7-for-11 (63.6%) from the free throw line.
The Badgers had 22 assists on the 31 made field goals, won the rebounding battle 32-29, and committed only 9 turnovers.
UW did commit 15 fouls which is too much.
Louisville was a little shorthanded today, but they are still a pretty good team and will certainly be much better than they were today. Having said that, Wisconsin had the most complete game this season.
UW had four players score in double-figures today. Micah Potter led UW with 20 points, Aleem Ford with 12, Trevor Anderson scored 11 and Brad Davison finishing with 10 points.
Postgame Brad Davison said: “Now we’re excited to go chase a (Big Ten) championship.”
Big Ten conference play begins this Tuesday, December 22, for Wisconsin where they’ll host the Nebraska Cornhuskers (4-3) at the Kohl Center. Tip-off for Tuesday’s game against Nebraska is set for 6:00 PM (Central Time) and will be televised on FS1.
