Tonight marks the 127th all-time meeting between the Wisconsin Badgers (3-0) and the Marquette Golden Eagles (2-1). The Badgers hold a 68-58 advantage in the series. The rivalry dates back to 1917.
Wisconsin is ranked No. 4 in the country, their highest ranking since being No. 3 on March 16, 2015. It’s also just the fourth season UW has appeared in the AP Top 5.
Tip-off for the game at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee tonight is 6:00 PM (CT) and will be televised on FS1.
Marquette is coming off a 70-62 home loss to Oklahoma State on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles had 24 turnovers in the game if I’m not mistaken.
The Badgers through three games are averaging 8 turnovers and allowing opponents to shoot 32.4 percent. UW is also shooting 75.8 percent at the free throw line while shooting 41.9 percent from three-point range.
Wisconsin has the better roster, has the better coach. But it’s UW’s first true road game and it is 2020 after all so nothing should be expected.
