The Milwaukee Bucks decided to boycott the Fourth Quarter and choked in embarrassing fashion to the Miami Heat, 115-100, in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. The Heat now lead the series 3-0, which no team in NBA History has come back from that deficit.
In one of the most important fourth quarters in franchise history, the Milwaukee Bucks were outscored 40-13. I’m not sure which is more embarrassing, the 40 or the 13.
The Bucks were 0-for-10 from the field, 0-for-7 from three point range and outscored 17-1 in the final 4:20.
One thing is abundantly clear, Mike Budenholzer didn’t learn a thing from the series against the Toronto Raptors in the 2019 Eastern Conference Finals.
Budenholzer’s stubbornness cost the Bucks a chance to go to the NBA Finals in 2019 and now has the Bucks down 0-3 in the second round in 2020. It also cost the Atlanta Hawks when he was the head coach with them.
In a must-win game, Giannis Antetokounmpo plays 34 minutes. To be clear, that’s not good when your season is on the line.
Budenholzer after the game said Giannis was cleared by the medical staff as good to go despite the right ankle tweak in the first quarter. He also said it didn’t effect the way he used Giannis tonight and doesn’t regret not playing him (or Khris Middleton) more in the game.
I think he’s just asking to be canned. And after two straight years of his inability and/or unwillingness to adjust, I’m on board with him getting fired! He was grossly out-coached by Nick Nurse in the Conference Finals last year and Erik Spoelstra is taking him to the woodshed this year in the second round.
You have one year with Giannis. If you don’t go all in, might as well trade him for a haul. Sorry ass Deer District will be bankrupt as well.
Being a Bucks fan = pain. God, if you’re listening right now, please send me a sign that at some point in my life I will witness a Bucks championship.
