The University of Wisconsin men’s basketball program announced from its Twitter account today that the date was settled for the I-94 rivalry game against Marquette. The historical game will head back to Milwaukee in the 2020-21 season, and will take place on Saturday December 5th, 2020.
Make sure to circle the date and plan accordingly.
The Badgers and Golden Eagles have played 126 times since the rivalry series first began in 1917. Wisconsin owns the series edge 68-58 over the Golden Eagles. The Badgers are 39-18 against Marquette in Madison.
Last season, the Badgers took home the win at the Kohl Center, 77-61.
Brad Davison and Brevin Pritzl each scored 15 points and six total Badgers scored in double figures. The Badgers also had a lockdown defensive effort against Markus Howard in the second half. Howard scored 16 points in the first half, but just two free throws in the second half.
At the time, it was UW’s third win in a row in the early part of the season. The Badgers went on to finish the season 21-10 and at No. 17 in the AP Top 25 Poll along with being Co-Champions in the Big Ten with Maryland and Michigan State.
