Wisconsin hosts Northwestern tonight

It’s Senior Night for Brevin Pritzl and Michael Ballard. UW will also be honoring Rashard Griffith who played from 1993-95 for the Badgers and returned to school to get his degree.

It has the potential to be a special night. Badgers are a half game behind first place Michigan State and Maryland, so a win tonight would make it be a three-way tie for the Big Ten lead between UW, MSU and Maryland.

The Badgers are one win away from 20 wins which would be the 16th time in the past 18 seasons UW has had 20+ wins. Head Coach Greg Gard enters the game with 99 career victories. If the Badgers get the victory tonight, Gard would become the second-fastest coach to win 100 wins in the NCAA Tournament era (157 games).

Wisconsin has faced some tough challenges at home this season and only faltered once. With only Northwestern remaining on the Kohl Center slate, I see the Badgers getting through the schedule with only one home loss.

Game is at 8:00 PM (CT) and will be televised on Big Ten Network (BTN).

Wisconsin 72, Northwestern 56
