The Green Bay Packers built a 21-3 lead, then the offense disappeared once again like it has done several times this season, and had to hold on for a 21-13 victory.
Devante Adams was targeted 13 times, making seven receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown. It was his fourth 100-yard game of the season and his third against Chicago in his career. On his touchdown, he carried one of the Bears defensive backs into the end zone with him.
Kenny Clark has played his best football late in the year and that continued on Sunday. Clark finished with a season-high six tackles, including three tackles for loss. He also had two sacks, which was a season-best. Clark now has 15.5 sacks in his career and eight of them have come in the month of December.
Tyler Ervin has been a big addition for the Packers return game. He had one punt return for 12 yards and a pair of kick returns for a total of 71 yards. That included a season-long 45 yard return before the end of the half. Though the Packers didn’t score, Ervin put them in a position to do so.
The win puts the Packers at 11-3, which is the most wins in a season for Green Bay since 2014.
With the Rams loss and Packers win, the Packers clinched a playoff berth for the first time since 2016. Green Bay can win the NFC North next week with a win.
Green Bay (11-3) will travel to Minnesota (10-4) to face the Vikings next Monday night at U.S. Bank Stadium.
