Wisconsin rolled to a 48-0 victory over Kent State today and improved to 5-0 for the second time in the past three seasons.
Jonathan Taylor played in a little over two quarters, but he racked up 215 total yards and tied a program single game record with five total touchdowns.
The UW defense allowed only 124-yards to the Kent State offense, while the Badgers had nine sacks in the game.
True freshman quarterback Graham Mertz came in during the third quarter and finished 5-for-5 for 38 yards. Mertz has appeared in two games so far this year, meaning he can still appear in two more games and still redshirt.
Today marked the third shutout on the season for UW. The last time the Badgers had three or more shutouts in a single season was in 1937.
The Badgers will host Michigan State at Camp Randall Stadium next Saturday.
