On May 25th, the University of Wisconsin assistant men’s basketball coach Howard Moore and his family were involved in a tragic car crash in Michigan, which claimed the lives of his wife, Jen, and daughter, Jaidyn.
In the weeks following the tragedy, positive reports circulated regarding Moore’s physical recovery, as well as his son, Jerell. But Monday afternoon, the university released information about an additional medical issue for Moore. As he recovers in a long-term care facility, he will not be on the sidelines coaching the Badgers this year.
The statement from the Moore family, which was released by Wisconsin Athletics, does not indicate whether the medical issue is related to the May accident.
