The San José State Spartans football team have struggled to win games under now third year head coach Brent Brennan, going 3-22 in Brennan’s first two seasons. The Spartans were predicted to finish in last place once again in the Mountain West.
The Spartans were unanimously picked sixth out of six in the Mountain West’s West Division in the 2019 media poll. They also finished with the least amount of voter points at 21, behind New Mexico’s 22 in the Mountain Division. In addition, no San José State players made the cut for Preseason All-Mountain West Conference Team honors.
San José State’s cross-over games are against Boise State (predicted first), New Mexico (predicted sixth), and at Air Force (predicted third).
