NFL Rankings entering Week 14

The Green Bay Packers fired Mike McCarthy after the embarrassing loss at home to the Arizona Cardinals who had previously only won two games, both wins coming against the Santa Clara, er San Francisco, 49ers. The writing was on the wall for McCarthy and Sunday’s loss was the final straw. I’m a little surprised they fired him mid-season because I thought they’d show him the respect of what he’s accomplished with the team and then terminate him when the season is over, but it was the right move because the players quit on him, including Aaron Rodgers (who has been terrible this season, and yes stats can be very misleading).

Contrary to some beliefs, the Packers head coaching vacancy isn’t as good as one might think. The new coach will need to deal with Aaron Rodgers, the drama queen, who has been coddled for far too long. At least Rodgers had some “nice” things to say about the coach he helped get fired.

Anyways, back to why I’m writing this.

As teams make their final playoff push and others try to wrap up their respective divisions, there are some teams that will be playing for a draft pick, like my Green Bay Packers.

In my rankings, they are based on games played in the first 13 weeks and NOT future games or how I think teams will finish.
