SJSU hosts Colorado State for second straight home game

San José State (0-4, 0-1) is coming off a 5OT loss to Hawai’i this past weekend, while Colorado State (1-4, 0-1) is coming off a bye week.

The Hawai’i game marked the first time this season that only one Quarterback played for SJSU. Josh Love played the entire game and threw for a career best 451 yards and matched a career high with three touchdowns. In the Spartans’ first three games, SJSU used at least two quarterbacks. Love, Michael Carrillo and Monte Aaron played in the opener vs. UC Davis. Aaron and Carrillo were the quarterbacks at Washington State. Love and Aaron were behind center in the game at Oregon.

Series History: Colorado State leads the series, 5-4. The Rams have won the last two meetings between the teams.

Play-by-Play Radio Coverage: KLIV (1590 AM, San José) originates San José State football broadcasts. Justin Allegri calls the play-by-play. Kevin Richardson provides commentary. The Colorado State broadcast begins at 3:30 p.m. (PT) with a pregame show.
 
San José State’s network affiliate is KION (1460 AM/101.1 FM, Salinas).

Television: The CBS Sports Network will provide play-by-play coverage of the San José State-Colorado State game. Rich Waltz calls the play-by-play. Aaron Murray provides analysis and commentary.  Jordan Daigle is the sideline reporter.

The live telecast is scheduled for 7:32 p.m. (PT).

Prediction: Colorado State 31, San José State 28.
