College Football Conference & Playoff Projections

The College Football season officially opened up today with “Week Zero.” Hawaii beat Colorado State despite being 17 point underdogs and an epic performance by KJ Carta-Samuels in his CSU debut. Wyoming is on its way to knocking off New Mexico State. UMass cruised past Duquesne and Rice needed a late field goal to take down Prairie View A&M.

How will this season play out? Will we see another OT classic in the National Championship game? Will we see a touchdown scored with one second left on the clock to win the Title? Will we see two teams making their first Championship game appearance in the CFB Playoff era?

I’m going to give my predictions on the Conference standings as well as each conference championship game. I will then follow with the CFB Playoffs.

Now that I’ve done my predictions of the Conference Champions, let’s go to who makes the CFB Playoff.

CFB Semi-Finals:

#1 Alabama vs. #4 Washington

#2 Clemson vs. #3 Wisconsin

Picking the playoffs was relatively tough for me because I feel teams such as Georgia, Oklahoma, Miami and Ohio State (depending on how they respond to the Urban Meyer debacle) could potentially sneak their respective ways in, but for now I’m sticking with the four teams I put in there.

National Championship:

#3 Wisconsin over #1 Alabama

Let me know who you have winning the Conference Championships and winning the Semi-Finals/National Championship!
